Former Bullets FC stars Andrew Aluki Chikhosi and Chikondi Banda have joined Nyasa United as the team strives to escape relegation in the Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika Southern Region Football League Premier Division.
Nyasa United assistant team manager Eliah Kananji said the two former stars, who were part of Bullets attacking machinery of Muzipasi Mwangonde and James Chimera Jnr in the 1990s, started training last week.
Kananji was optimistic that the two players would draw on their vast experience and talent to help the team survive the chop.
Nyasa are bottom of the 18-team table with 13 points from 20 games.
Nyasa have won two games of the 20 with seven draws and 11 wins.
The two players have come out of retirement together with former Bullets, Tigers and Silver Strikers combative midfielder Kuruwa Ngwira and former Tigers and MDC United goalkeeper Weston Chifutwe.
Another star striker, Ganizani Malunga, joined the club after he was shown the boot at Bullets.
Nyasa management team has warned the players against complacency.
"The future of Nyasa United is indeed shaky, that's why we called for an emergency meeting with the players to express our concern," Kananji said.
