Use social media progressively

Social media that includes facebook, twitter, linked are all ingenious inventions that have made communication easy.

However, social media has a downside that it cannot be governed, regulated and policed. The assumption is that the users are responsible enough to use it wisely.

The emergence of the M'meto wa Atambwali is a case in point. These women understandably started with a good motive to discuss issues affecting their marriages. However it got hijacked by nefarious motives.

We are not trying to defend the men who cheat on their wives. However, the method adopted by these women was not only distressing the supposed womanisers but destabilising marriages.

As much as there is freedom of expression we need to respect the privacy of others. If these women had issues with the husbands, the best way was to solve the problems privately other than going public and hurt alot of innocent people.

Women should learn to accept denial. It is not a crime to be ditched by a man. It is infact not a strange thing and to borrow from urban musician Dan Lufani, "It is part of life".

On the other hand men should learn to be trustworthy. The women must have to resorted to this but there is some grain of truth in their accusation. Men should watch out and start behaving in a way that would not hurt their partners they are legally married to.
