The Flames have maintained position 82 on the Coca Cola Fifa ranking for the month of March which was released Wednesday.
The Flames also still pause on position 17 on the continent led by Egypt who took over the position from Cameroon after winning the African Cup of Nations in January.
Zimbabwe's Warriors came from behind to win the match after Malawi took the lead through diminutive forward Noel Mkandawire. According to media reports in Zimbabwe, the Flames conceded an own goal through Robson Banda before the Warriors scored the second through Tafadzwa Rusike. Coach Kinnah Phiri said the Flames played well and were denied a clear goal towards the end of the first half when Grey Nyirenda's goal was disallowed for offside.
